  • Information You Provide: When you purchase a PRO license, create an account, or contact us for support, we collect personal information, including:

    • Billing Information (handled by our payment processor, e.g., Stripe/WooCommerce)
  • Information We Collect Automatically: Like most websites, we use cookies and analytics tools (like Google Analytics) to collect:

    • Technical Data: Your IP address, browser type, and device information.

B. In Our Plugin (SEO Magic)

The SEO Magic plugin is designed to be privacy-first.

  • Free Version:
    • No Data Collected: The free version of the Plugin does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data from your website or your users. It runs 100% on your own server.
  • PRO Version (License Verification):
    • License Check: When you activate your PRO license, the Plugin contacts our server (your store on seomagic.click) to verify your purchase. We securely transmit:
      • Your License Key
      • Your Site URL (to verify the site is part of your license)
    • This check is performed periodically to validate the license and provide automatic updates.
  • API Key Usage:
    • Google Gemini API: The Plugin requires you to enter your own Google Gemini API Key. This key is stored locally in your WordPress database. It is NEVER transmitted to our servers or any third party (other than Google).
    • Your API Key is sent directly from your server to Google’s servers to perform AI generation tasks. We do not act as a middleman and cannot see your API requests.
    • Any usage limits, logging or billing related to the Gemini API are managed directly by Google under your own account. SEO Magic does not control, resell or include AI credits; we only provide the interface that sends requests from your site to Google’s servers using your key.
  • Backlink Audit (PRO Feature):
    • Google Search Console: To use the Backlink Audit, you must grant the Plugin API access to your Google Search Console (GSC) account.
    • This connection is a direct, secure OAuth link between your server and Google. We do not have access to, collect, or store your GSC data on our servers. The data is pulled from Google and analyzed directly within your WordPress dashboard.
  • Other PRO Feature APIs (PRO Feature):
    • Other PRO features also connect directly from your server to Google APIs to function. We do not process, collect, or store any of this data on our servers. This includes:
      • Site Health Audit: Sends your site’s URL to the Google PageSpeed Insights API to fetch performance and technical SEO data.
      • Toxicity Analysis: Sends backlink domains to the Google Safe Browsing API to check their safety status.
      • Link Assistant: Sends search queries to the Google Search API to suggest relevant external links.

Important notice about AI content:

  • When you use the Plugin to send content to external APIs (such as Google Gemini), the text you submit may include personal data about you or your users, depending on what you choose to send. You are responsible for ensuring that this content complies with your own privacy policy and with any applicable data protection laws. We recommend avoiding the inclusion of sensitive personal data in any AI requests whenever possible.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information collected on our website to:

  • Provide and Manage Services: Process your payments, generate your license key, and give you access to the PRO plugin.
