The WooCommerce Assistant is the product-focused companion to the Content Assistant.
It helps you generate and improve product titles, long and short descriptions, and tags directly from the WooCommerce product edit screen.
Note: This module is available in SEO Magic PRO and only appears if WooCommerce is active.
SEO titles, meta descriptions and image metadata are managed from the Metadata tools, not inside the WooCommerce Assistant.
1. What the WooCommerce Assistant does #
The WooCommerce Assistant uses the same AI engine as the Content Assistant, but tuned for products:
- Writes or improves product titles.
- Generates long product descriptions with a clear, structured layout.
- Creates short product descriptions focused on benefits and key information.
- Suggests product tags based on the product content and topic.
The goal is to help you build complete, persuasive product pages without leaving the WooCommerce editor or copying content between tools.
2. Where to find it in the product editor #
After enabling SEO Magic PRO and WooCommerce:
- Edit any product in WordPress.
- Look for the pink AI buttons (pencil icon) next to the main WooCommerce fields:
- Product title
- Product description (long description)
- Product short description
- Product tags
Each pink button triggers the WooCommerce Assistant for that specific field.
You can use these quick actions whenever you want the AI to improve or generate text for that part of the product.

3. Inline AI actions for products #
Inline actions are designed for quick, focused improvements on individual fields.
Typical locations:
- Product title field – AI button to generate or refine the product name.
- Long description editor – AI button to write or rewrite the detailed product description.
- Short description editor – AI button to generate a short, conversion-focused summary.
- Product tags area – AI button to suggest relevant tags that you can add directly to the product.
General behavior:
- Click the pink AI button next to the field you want to improve.
- SEO Magic sends the current product information to the AI.
- The generated text is written directly into that WooCommerce field (there is no separate dialog or preview window).
You can then edit the content manually as you would with any other text.
This makes it very fast to update product copy, especially when you are editing many products in a row.
4. Editing the generated product copy #
Because the AI writes directly into the WooCommerce field:
- You can adjust or rewrite any part of the generated text right inside the editor.
- If you don’t like the result, you can:
- Press your browser’s Undo (Ctrl+Z / Cmd+Z), or
- Replace it by clicking the pink button again to get a new suggestion, or
- Restore an older version using WordPress revisions (if enabled for products).
A typical workflow is:
- Enter a simple initial version of the product (name + a basic description).
- Click the AI button next to Product description to get a richer, better-structured long description.
- Click the AI button next to Product short description to get a concise summary focused on benefits.
- Use the AI button on Product tags to quickly generate a list of relevant tags.
You always remain in control: the AI fills the field, but you decide what stays.
5. How the Woo Assistant uses product context #
The WooCommerce Assistant doesn’t generate content “out of nowhere”.
When you trigger an action, it builds a context from several product fields, for example:
- Product title.
- SKU and price (if available).
- Product categories and existing tags.
- Product attributes (such as size, color, material, etc.).
- The current short description and long description, if they already exist.
This context is sent to the AI so it can:
- Understand what the product is and who it is for.
- Use the information you have already entered instead of ignoring it.
- Propose copy that matches your current positioning and catalog structure.
The exact prompt and internal structure are handled by SEO Magic behind the scenes; you only see the final text directly in the WooCommerce fields.
6. Recommended workflow for WooCommerce stores #
A practical way to use the WooCommerce Assistant is:
- Create or import products with basic information (product name, price, a simple description).
- Open each key product and use the pink AI buttons to:
- Improve or generate the long description with a structured layout.
- Generate a short description that highlights benefits and main features.
- Get tag suggestions to improve internal search and navigation.
- Once your product copy looks good, go to the Metadata tools to:
- Generate SEO titles and meta descriptions for your products.
- Generate or review image metadata (titles, alt text, captions, descriptions).
For large catalogs, you can prioritize:
- Best-selling products.
- High-margin products.
- Categories you want to highlight in campaigns or ads.
7. Best practices & limitations #
Does the assistant modify prices, stock or variations?
No. The WooCommerce Assistant only works with text fields (titles, descriptions and tags).
It does not change prices, inventory, variations or shipping settings.
Can I accidentally overwrite important content?
Yes, the AI writes directly into the field you selected.
If you need to revert, use Undo in your editor or WordPress revisions. It’s a good idea to keep products under review after a big batch of changes.
Where are SEO titles and meta descriptions edited?
Product SEO metadata (SEO title, meta description, Open Graph fields, image metadata) are managed from the Metadata tools, the same area used for posts and images.
The Woo Assistant focuses on product copy that those tools can later use as a strong base.
Can I use it on draft or private products?
Yes. You can optimize draft, pending or private products before publishing them.
